Staff Scientist (Molecular biology) in normal and malignant hematopoiesis

The Porse group at the Finsen Laboratory/Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC), a research center of excellence at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, is seeking a highly motivated molecular biologist with strong skills in genome-wide approaches  
Job description 
We are seeking an ambitious candidate with a strong interest in genome-wide technologies and a wish to be part of an interactive research group. Research in the Porse group (Finsen Laboratory/BRIC/DanStem) is focused on elucidating mechanisms governing normal and malignant hematopoiesis with special emphasis on the behaviour of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) during adult hematopoiesis and leukemic stem cells (LSCs) in acute myeloid leukemia. To this end, we employ mouse models of human AML, mouse knock-out lines of putative HSC/LSC regulators, primary patient material and a broad range of genome-wide approaches.  
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing our experimental “omics” tool box including ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, Chromatin Conformation Capture, Methyl-seq etc. Specifically, we´re looking for a person with strong attention to technical details and a genuine interest in implementing novel technologies for addressing our scientific questions. The successful candidate should be highly collaborative and enjoyed working in a team-based setting.

Qualifications and skills 
The successful applicant should have 
A PhD in life sciences or equivalent research experience 
A strong track-record in genome-wide approaches including ChIP-seq.  
Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented, structured approach to practical lab work  
Interactive team player that thrive by participating in several projects 
Place of employment 
The employment is at The Finsen Laboratory/BRIC, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment. Our research facilities include modern laboratories and a number of core facilities shared between the 24 research groups at BRIC and the neighboring Finsen Laboratory. We have weekly journal clubs, data clubs, seminars with invited speakers and a young researchers club ASAP and our own PhD programme, MoMeD and our own Postdoc Career Programme. 
Terms of salary and employment 
The employment is as ‘staff scientist’ (AC-TAP) in the Porse Group. The appointment is fixed-term (three years), full-time with starting date as soon as possible after agreement. Salary, pension and terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central organization.
