Postdoctorial positions at Department of Mathematical Sciences  
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen is seeking top early-career researchers for a number of attractive postdoctoral positions. The positions are one to three year positions, with application deadline November 15, midnight local time, 2017 and starting date in 2018, ordinarily September 1.  
The salary is very competitive, depending on seniority, the salary amounts to 32.000-33.791 DKK/per month (app. EUR 4.266-4.500 per month) plus 17.1 % in pension contribution. The teaching load is typically two quarter (half-semester) courses per year of which one usually is as a teaching assistant.  
The Department of Mathematical Sciences has strong research groups in many areas of mathematics, and has an active postdoc and visitors' programme; we refer to our homepage for more information.  
Strong applicants in all areas covered by the research groups of the department will be considered. In particular there will be postdoc stipends in the following specific areas/centers of the Department:  
• Algebra, topology, operator algebra, and non-commutative geometry as covered by the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation.  
• The VILLUM Center of excellence for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH) focusing on mathematical physics and quantum information theory. The center offers the possibility to work in close collaboration with theoretical and experimental activities at the Niels Bohr Institute. • Copenhagen Causality Lab covering such research topics as causal inference for stochastic dynamical systems, partially observed systems, invariant prediction and graphical models. See for more information.  
• There are also some postdoc stipends available which are not attached to any of the above mentioned centers/grants.

Evaluation procedures  
After the expiry of the deadline for applications, the authorized recruitment manager selects applicants for assessment on the advice of the Appointments Committee. All applicants are then immediately notified whether their application has been passed for assessment by an expert assessment committee. Selected applicants are notified of the composition of the committee and each applicant has the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that relates to the applicant him/herself.  
We expect to make the first offers in December 2017 or early January 2018, and conclude our search around March. The starting date is ordinarily 1 September, 2018.
