Laboratory Assistant (paid by the hour) for the Center for Healthy Aging, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen
The Center for Healthy Aging (https://healthyaging.ku.dk) (CEHA) is seeking a motivated laboratory assistant for two years. The post is available from October 15th, 2019.
The CEHA is a center of excellence funded by the Nordea-fonden. The Center is comprising more than 200 scientists, focusing on biomedical, social and psychological causes of healthy aging. The CEHA is anchored in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine ( www.icmm.ku.dk ).
Terms of employment
The position will be supervised by the CEHA executive director, Lene Juel Rasmussen (LJR). Because of the international make-up of the center, the working language is largely English. The position will be paid by the hour according to Labor Grade 1 and the employment will be in accordance with the current agreement between the Danish Government and HK-stat (Dansk Laborant-forening). It is expected that the post-holder will require flexibility in their working hours, but 10 hours on average per week would be desirable. The employment is conditional upon the post-holder being enrolled as a student at a University.
The tasks performed will vary from week-to-week, but will include:
- Maintaining stocks of supplies and consumables
- Assisting with maintenance of the LJR lab and office
- Participate in daily and weekly LJR lab operational routines (deliveries/storage etc)
