Project Manager and Personal Assistant
The Section of Microbiology - Department of Biology
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager & Personal Assistant to support the Head of Section of Microbiology and Principal Investigator (PI) of major collaborative research projects, including the EMBARQ project, a large multi-partner initiative focused on developing tools for risk evaluation of biologicals. This full-time position starts on 1 February 2025, with a 5-year fixed term contract with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the EMBARQ project, coordinating meetings, reports, budgets, and timelines while ensuring smooth communication with partners
- Personal Assistance: Manage the Head of Section's schedule, meetings, travel, and daily administrative tasks associated to research and teaching activities
- Event & Communication Support: Organize meetings, workshops, and events, and assist in preparing reports, presentations, and research dissemination
- Collaboration: Serve as the central point of contact for the Head of Section, department staff, students, and external partners
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with managing large research projects, preferably in bioscience
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Danish and English
- Proficiency in budgeting and resource management
- A strong team player
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

Formalities and salary range
The employment as Academic Employee is a full-time, fixed-term position. The average working hours are 37 hours per week.
Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experience and qualifications. The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.
