Student Assistant at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen (UCPH) as part of the ERC-funded Lobbying (A)symmetry Project

The Department of Political Science is looking for a student assistant on the “Lobbying (A)symmetry: The Dynamics Behind Informed Policy” (LOBBYMETRY) project. The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) and led by Associate Professor Wiebke Marie Junk (PI). The selected candidate(s) will be a part of the project team consisting of the PI, two Postdoctoral Researchers (hired in 2025 and 2026), a PhD, and international collaborators.

As part of the LOBBYMETRY project, the chosen candidate will cooperate with the other project team members in implementing cross-country surveys, collect data on lobbying and informational quality and other research and dissemination tasks.
 

Qualifications

We are seeking to recruit a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a relevant social science field such as political science
  • An interest in lobbying and European public policy, especially in the policy areas of climate and/or digital policy
  • Experience with quantitative methods is an advantage
  • Knowledge or an interest in research and academic writing will be an advantage
  • A willingness to work independently, as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
     
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English is a requirement. Proficiency in other European languages is an advantage.

 

Wage and working hours:

On average, you are expected to work 15 hours per week.

The period of employment begins 1 February 2026 (or thereafter upon agreement).
 

The employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and under the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and IT officers in the state. The minimum wage is DKK 141,14 (1 april 2025-level). Your salary will be based on seniority.

To be considered for the position, you must be enrolled as a student at university level and an active student.
