Operations Coordinator at the Center for Core Facilities

The Center for Core Facilities (CCF) at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) aims to strengthen access to advanced research technologies and foster interdisciplinary collaboration at the University of Copenhagen. CCF coordinates and develops strategic core facilities across the faculty, ensuring cutting-edge technologies, excellent facilities, transparent access processes and pricing, and strong links to relevant leading research environments.
Established on 1 September 2025, CCF brings world-class core facilities under one umbrella, making it easier for researchers, educators, and innovators to access technologies that drive and support excellent research, discovery, innovation, and life-long education.
To strengthen our internal coordination and ensure seamless service delivery and strategic development, we are establishing a dedicated Administration and Development Support Team. The team is now seeking an Operations Coordinator to serve as a vital link between the team and the service provision core facility teams.
About the position
The Operations Coordinator will play a central role in ensuring that our research infrastructures operate smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the research needs and the institutional policies. You will work closely with your colleagues in the administration and development support team and center leadership team to streamline processes, support excellent service delivery, enhance communication across the center, and ensure the visibility and accessibility of the services provided.

Key responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of services at the CCF facilities, and their evaluation and development when needed,
- Act as the primary liaison between core facility teams and the administration and development support team,
- Ensure smooth communication strategies with users and other relevant external stakeholders (manage CF support inbox),
- Support the harmonization, implementation, and maintenance of shared management and administrative systems, documentations, and standard operating procedures across the center,
- Facilitate communication across facilities to ensure consistent service quality and alignment of practices,
- Assist with budget and service access tracking, reporting, and monitoring,
- Contribute to onboarding processes for new staff and users of the core facilities,
- Support compliance with institutional, ethical, and regulatory requirements,
- Participate in planning and execution of cross‑facility initiatives, meetings, and strategic projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in research infrastructure management and administrative coordination is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage diverse tasks and workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent English level in oral and writing.
- Proactive and service‑oriented approach.
- Comfortable working with digital tools and administrative systems and eager to learn working with new tools.

The employment is a full-time position as academic officer in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and academics in the state (the AC collective agreement) or other relevant collective agreement and organizations. It is possible to negotiate supplements according to qualifications. On top of the salary there is a monthly contribution to a pension fund according to the collective agreement. Starting date will be 1st April 2026.
