Software Engineer at the Department of Chemistry
Department of Chemistry at Science, University of Copenhagen is looking for an Academic Employee as Software Engineer with effect from 1 April 2026 for two years.
About us
The position is mainly in the group of Prof. Nikos S. Hatzakis. The group focuses on how the dynamics of bio-micro molecules control their spatiotemporal localization and cellular function using quantitative single particle microscopy.
Nikos Hatzakis is leading the Center for Optimized Oligo Escape and Control of Disease, an interdisciplinary center between University of Copenhagen, Harvard Medical School and University of Lisboa, as well as the Center for 4D cell dynamics. Both centers utilize advanced microscopy setups and quantitative image analysis to elicit a detailed understanding of the interplays of the dynamics and spatiotemporal localization of biomolecules and their role in cellular responses.
The group is a part of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of SCIENCE, University of Copenhagen. We are located at Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.
The Department of Chemistry is an internationally leading research and teaching environment for chemistry. The Department of Chemistry conducts top research within a wide range of chemical disciplines. We work within themes such as the green-transition, medicine, material development and quantum chemistry. In addition, the department trains excellent graduates in chemistry who are employed in Danish and foreign companies. The department also contributes high-quality chemistry teaching to a number of bio and natural science programs at the University of Copenhagen. The Department of Chemistry has approx. 200 employees.
