Programme Coordinator for BRIDGE – Translational Excellence Programme
The Research Funding Unit at Campus Administration North is looking for a motivated Programme Manager to support the postdoctoral program BRIDGE, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
About the BRIDGE programme
The BRIDGE programme is a strategic initiative at Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) and aims to strengthen translational research in Denmark by bridging research between the university, clinics and life science industry. The programme trains and educates excellent young researchers in areas that are necessary to carry out translational research at the highest level. The programme is implemented in close collaboration with mentors in the biomedical and clinical areas and has a full academic curriculum of courses within topics such as omics, big data and machine learning, ethics, pharma and science communication.
The programme is led by a Programme Chair and an Educational Co-Chair advised by a Scientific Committee, an Educational Committee and an International Advisory Board. The programme is run by the programme secretariat consisting of a Programme Manager, Programme Coordinator and Course Coordinator and is physically located at Panum, SUND.
About the Research Funding North
The University of Copenhagen is establishing a new, joint university administration that supports the entire university. Research Financing North is expected to have approx. 25 employees who will assist researchers and department management at North Campus in various ways in obtaining external funds from private and public councils and foundations, both nationally and internationally. BRIDGE is anchored in this unit.
Programme Coordinator
As a Programme Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the Programme Manager to ensure the seamless execution and development of programme activities.
Your tasks
- Fellow and Mentor Liaison: Responsible for maintaining continuous communication with fellows and mentors throughout the admission process, employment period, and graduation to ensure a supportive and engaging experience. Monitor and oversee the submission of progress reports by fellows to ensure timely and accurate documentation of their development.
- Fellow Activity Monitoring: Work together with the Course Coordinator to monitor fellows' activities, including parental leave, course participation, and mentor changes, to ensure compliance and support.
- Event Management: Responsible for developing, organising, and facilitating key events such as graduation ceremonies, bootcamps, workshops, and peer coaching sessions to enhance the fellows' learning and networking opportunities.
- Course Coordination: Collaborate with the Course Coordinator to manage some of the programme's courses within the Academic Curriculum, ensuring high-quality educational experiences.
- Recruitment Coordination: Collaborate with the Programme Manager and the HR unit to coordinate the annual admission and recruitment process, ensuring the selection of excellent candidates.
- Meeting Organisation: Handle the practical organisation of meetings and follow-ups for the Programme Management, Scientific Committee, and International Advisory Board to ensure efficient decision-making and communication.
- Financial Management: Responsible for the reimbursement of expenses for various boards and committees, as well as the payment of guest lecturers, merchandise, and advertising for BRIDGE.
Your profile
- Excellent coordination, planning and organisational skills as well as the ability to develop, plan and implement objectives to meet tight deadlines under time pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and networking competences with the ability to create relationships across the organisation and to communicate with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the organisation
- Experience in facilitating meetings and events and coordinating recruitment processes
- Experience with secretarial services for committees and management, such as writing minutes, booking venues, ordering catering, etc.
- Experience with study administration and development of courses and curricula, as well as experience with study administrative platforms such as Absalon Canvas
- Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canvas Absalon, WorkZone, and RejsUd/IndFak
- Ability to write in a clear, concise and engaging way for a wide range of target groups with high accuracy in Danish and English
- Academic degree, preferably a master’s degree, in a relevant field

Terms of employment
The expected start date is 1 June 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is advertised at the level of Academic Officer (fuldmægtig) for 37 hours per week. We expect to hold interviews on an ongoing basis. Salary, terms and conditions of appointment are set in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and Academics.
