Center for Biomedical Quantum Sensing at the Niels Bohr Institute announces a part time 5 months position in the field of optomechanical quantum measurements.

The position is 30 hours per week and is open from 16 June 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job description
The successful candidate will join the experiment on generation of squeezed and entangled quantum states of a mechanical oscillator and light. Hands-on experience within the field of quantum opto-mechanics with silicon nitride membranes and documented results on generation of squeezed states of light using quantum opto-mechanics are necessary.
If it is deemed appropriate from an overall perspective, you must be prepared to be security screened, in relation to international research and innovation collaboration, as part of the employment process at the University of Copenhagen.
Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
