Laboratory technician (laborant) or biomedical laboratory scientist (bioanalytiker) for the Single-Cell Omics platform

We are seeking a highly skilled laboratory technician (laborant) or biomedical laboratory scientist (bioanalytiker) to join the Single-Cell Omics platform starting March 1st, 2022 or after agreement.

The successful candidate will work in the Single-Cell Omics Platform that provides the Center’s researchers with cutting-edge bulk and single-cell transcriptomics and epigenetics techniques, using the state-of-the-art equipment, data science and machine learning approaches.

The role
As a laboratory technician or biomedical laboratory scientist in the Single-Cell Omics Platform, you will be working in close collaboration with your colleagues from the Platform in your effort to support researchers in the Center with single-cell transcriptomics and next-generation sequencing. The service throughput in the platform is high, and routine tasks will be part of your daily work. However, you will also be involved in optimizing and developing new protocols. Your primary assignments will lie within the single-cell sequencing track but you can also expect to be involved in bulk sequencing projects depending on priorities and demand.

Primary tasks:
• FACS sorting of cells and nuclei using a SH800 (SONY)
• Preparation of single-cell transcriptomics library (10x Genomics
Chromium)
• Sequencing using a NovaSeq 6000 (Illuimina)

Additional tasks:
